Grounding and Earthing

So I decided to start a new study that I’m starting or actually have been doing for the past month. I’ll get back at a later point as to when I started earthing or grounding. The first time I did it was on a weekend I did it both Saturday and Sunday and then on my days off from work, I went outside to earth. I differentiate earthing from grounding but I suppose it’s the same practice.

So how do I practice earthing? I go outside usually for at least 25 minutes or longer, with my bare feet in the grass and sometimes I run my fingers through the grass. I often sit with my legs crossed or my knees bent and feet together. Sometimes I close my eyes and meditate. Now I’ve never been that great at meditating but I have gotten better at it as I’ve been practicing while I’m outside earthing.

Grounding as I consider that to be a broader practice. I bought a grounding mat which I use every night while I sleep. This is one of the many ways that I ground. I’ve been in DBT (Dialectical behavioral health) for the past four years and mindfulness and DBT go together and as you may have guessed it grounding and earthing are mindfulness practices. I want to share what I learn as I learn more about it.

What I have learned so far in my practices is that by earthing/grounding, it has helped me greatly. It has helped my circulation because I used to feel cold quite often and now overall I’m warmer. It’s also supposed to and I believe it has helped with my inflammation. I feel stronger, I sleep better and that’s just a few things I’ve noticed. So I’m going to continue to explore grounding and earthing. I’ve joined many grounding and earthing groups and visited multiple websites. I want to share sites and things I’ve learned with you so I’ll include all that I know and what I find out.

These are a couple sites that I’ve come upon while doing research on grounding and earthing. They might help shed more light than what I might be able to tell you but if you want to hear it from me you can find out what I learn.
